As per International Data Corporation(IDC) report on Indian smartphone market for Q2, 2013, Micromax continued to impress upon its dominance in the Indian smartphone market with an increase in its market share from 18.8 percent to 22 percent. Micromax not only grew the market pie but also gained market share from competitors and narrowed the gap on Samsung which, stands at 26 percent market share. Micromax has crossed the 2 million units shipment mark in 2Q 2013 and is poised to be the number one smartphone player in India by Q3. Micromax hopes to achieve $1 billion in revenues with its innovative product strategy, strong distribution & marketing focused on the Indian youth.
