Android Nougat’s next maintenance release 7.1.2  is just around the corner and the final stable version of 7.1.2 will be released in a couple of months. As of now the Public Beta is live and rolling out to eligible devices that are enrolled in the Android Beta Program, including Pixel and Pixel XL, Nexus 5X, Nexus Player, and Pixel C devices. Also, an update for Nexus 6P will be up soon.

So as you may have noticed from the above list, Motorola made Nexus 6 smartphone and Htc made Tablet Nexus 9 won’t be getting the update, As we had an article last year, Google’s support site now shows Update Timeline for Nexus Devices. According to the Support site, October 2016 was the deadline for Updates, After that, there were No guaranteed Android version updates, But still Security updates will continue until next 6 months at least.

How to Get Android 7.1.2 Public Beta

If you guys are having anyone of Pixel,  Pixel XL, Nexus 5X, and Pixel C devices, Head to this Android Beta Page and sign in, you will get an OTA update instantly.

Android 7.1.2 is an incremental maintenance release focused on refinements, so it includes a number of bugfixes and optimizations, along with a small number of enhancements for carriers and users. If you have an eligible device that’s already enrolled, you’re all set — your device will get the public beta update in the next few days and no action is needed on your part. As always, you can also download and flash this update manually.
