With more smartphone and laptops coming out with USB C type connectors, LaCie announced the newest product in its line of rugged mobile drives will feature USB-C technology. This drive comes with legendary rugged durability with USB-C, making it an ideal storage solution for next-generation computers like the latest Apple Macbook, as well as USB computers. 

The Rugged USB-C drive’s USB-C cable is fully reversible with no up/down or left/right orientation, so there’s no wrong way to connect the product. It is Thunderbolt 3 compatible and Also, can also be connected to USB 3.0 computers thanks to the included USB-C to USB-A cable. It can be used on almost any Mac or PC, latest or legacy.  

The LaCie Rugged USB-C delivers transfer speeds of up to 130MB/s,  because it is bus powered, the LaCie Rugged USB-C is ready to work virtually anywhere. This time savings and convenience is key for field-based professionals. With capacities of up to 4TB, the market’s highest storage for its size, the LaCie Rugged USB-C gives enough space to store massive amounts of photos or video footage.
