Gionee A1

Gionee announced the new Gionee A1 selfie-centric smartphone in India last month. The device was made available for pre-booking and Gionee has received INR 150Cr worth of orders in the first 10 days. Now, the company has begun to roll out a new OTA update to the device which brings enhanced user-experience across selfies, music, and videos.

The latest update will provide selfie lovers with a great experience to stockpile their selfies in a much easier and unique way. Gionee’s new OTA update will create a #Selfiestan folder in the image gallery of every user. The selfies clicked with A1 will automatically be stored in that folder and will also allow the users to customise it as per their taste.Also, the update will also provide a smooth experience to watch and manage video. Users can enjoy watching the videos in a common video player for both YouTube and Local videos. In addition, with the new update, A1 users will be able to watch YouTube videos in a floating window, for convenient and cluster free viewing experience. The new update empowers A1 users to create their own album in the music library.

Gionee OTA update also offers a customised suspend button functionality, updated Google security patch. Furthermore, the update fixes minor bugs and enhances the performance of the device. The new feature will further enhance the experience of music lovers through easy navigation while adding an alphabetic search feature in the music library.
