Samsung started the year on a high note with the launch of its flagship devices S8 and S8+ last month, today the company launched both these devices in India at an event in New Delhi. The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ will be offered to consumers at a price of INR 57,900 and INR 64,900, respectively. The flagship smartphones will be available in India starting May 5, 2017 across select retail stores. They will be available online exclusively on Samsung Shop and Flipkart.

The Galaxy S8 comes with a 5.8-inch display and S8+ with a 6.2-inch display. Both the smartphones come with QHD+ display with the resolution of 2960*1440 and 18.5:9 aspect ratio. Both the smartphones are having bezel-less super AMOLED panel up front. The smartphones are running on  SoC. They come with come with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage with MicroSD card support up to 256GB.Samsung galaxy s8 and s8 plusThe S8 and S8+ come with a 12MP rear camera with dual pixel sensor with an aperture of f/1.7 and support for OIS. The Galaxy S8 and S8+ come with an 8MP front camera with f/1.7 aperture. The S8 comes ith 3000mAh battery and S8+ with 3500mAh battery, with Quick Charge 4.0 and Wireless charging technology. The devices are dust and water resistant (IP68 rated). They are running on Android Nougat 7.0. Other features of the devices include Dual band wifi, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, Samsung Pay, USB type-c port, 3.5mm audio jack, face recognition, Fingerprint scanner at the rear.

Also, Samsung’s own virtual and voice assistant, Bixby is present on the device, it can recognize images in the camera app, photo gallery, and web photos when using the Samsung browser. It will also show up contextual information like location based results as we have seen on Google Assistant. They come in black, silver, blue, and maple gold color. Availibilty and Launch Offers

The Galaxy S8 will be offered in a rich color palette including Midnight Black and Maple Gold, while the Galaxy S8+ will also get the Coral Blue variant. New high-performance earphones tuned by AKG by Harman, offering uncompromised audio for unbeatable sound quality, will come as an in-box accessory.

Consumers can pre-book the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ from April 19 onwards to avail the special Pre-book Offer of a free Convertible Wireless Charger.

Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ users will get a Double Data offer on the Jio network. On a monthly recharge of INR 309 users will enjoy 448 GB of 4G data over 8 months. With this Double Data offer Samsung Galaxy S8 users can experience a truly unconstrained Digital Life on Jio’s world-class all-IP data strong only-4G network.
