Is the future of smartphone, iPhone X worth every penny?

The much anticipated 10th anniversary iPhone is finally unveiled, dubbed as iPhone X or iPhone 10. There have been some major changes in the new iPhone, borrowing some of the features from Android. The tech giants, Apple, have not produced any ground breaking innovations in the last few years that we haven’t seen. Will Apple stick to its promise made by Steve Jobs, a decade ago, stating, “Apple is going to reinvent the phone.” Definitely, everything has changed in the new phone. In case, you have missed the live event last night, we have you covered.

The new iconic iPhone sports a front and back glass body with stainless steel on the sides. A display of 458 pixels per inch makes it the highest pixel density ever to be seen in an iPhone, referred to as Super Retina display by Apple. Apart from that, the 5.8 inches screen phone, which possesses a QHD resolution (2436×1125), has been integrated with an OLED display featuring True tone display technology.

Last year, Apple skipped the headphone jack and this year, Home button goes missing in favour of an all display screen phone. In other words, it’s an edge-to-edge screen, which is also a first in an iPhone. It has been replaced with an upward swipe from the bottom of the phone. Without the Home or Touch ID sensor, fingerprint sensor gives a complete omit, relying solely on the Face ID recognition. Face ID unlocks the phone just by looking at it, which is situated in the notch at the top of the phone. Apple suggests Face ID uses the front camera, combined with an IR system and flood illuminator so your face can be recognized even in darkness. Moreover, it is more secure than the Touch ID and chances of being unlocked by an unknown person are one in a million. Face ID and alpha numeric codes are the only forms of biometric authentication that can be used for unlocking the Apple Pay as well as all third party apps.
