Honor V10 - Tenaa

Hey OnePlus 5T, you have a competitor!

The year, 2017 is coming to an end, almost. Before it ends, there might be a small surprise for you by Honor. Although everyone is fixated on the newly launched, OnePlus 5T, there would be eyeballs gazing at the new Honor device. It’s a given that the brand focuses on delivering devices for the mid-segment category. This is by no means, a normal device. Trust me as I quote, it’s a flagship killer at the half the price of a high-end device. Fasten your seatbelts, as Honor is expected to launch its next iteration, the V10 on November 28 in China and thereafter, the global launch will take place in London on December 5. It is expected to touch Indian markets, mostly by January. This is the most dissatisfying part to wait for a month. Can the Indian market be a part of the global launch in the near future?

Coming to the V10, it is expected to sport a 5.9-inch bezel-less display, 18:9 aspect ratio, with Full HD+ (2160x1080pixels) resolution. The device will be powered by the latest, in-house processor, running on HiSilicon Kirin 970 chip, which happens to be the first chip with Neural Processing Unit, specially designed for Artificial Intelligence tasks. This is the same chip running on the Huawei Mate Series, the flagship models of Huawei. It will available in two variants – a 6GB RAM with 64 GB RAM or 128 GB internal memory, expandable up to 256GB via micro SD card on a Hybrid Sim slot. It will be backed by 3700 mAh of battery life.

To the optics, the V10 will feature a dual rear camera setup (16 MP+20 MP) with a wide aperture range from f/0.95-f/16 and a 13 MP front-facing camera.

As we are still unclear, there are a few things that are still in the air such as – whether the phone will sport a home physical button and if it does, it will compromise on the display screen and will be the first phone to house a home button with a bezel-less display. And if it’s an all screen phone, then the fingerprint sensor will move to the rear, below the camera. Also, we aren’t sure, either will the device run on the latest version of Android Nougat 8.0 or Android Oreo 7.1.1 out of the box.

Like I stated earlier, this is nowhere short of being called a flagship device and will compete with the likes of Nokia 8, OnePlus 5T and so forth. Nevertheless, one thing is certain, after the launch of V10, OnePlus 5T will surely feel the heat. What do you feel? Leave a comment below and let us know!
