The bezel less display phone with a home button.

Huawei seems to be having a string of back to back mobile launches. This time, the brand has launched the Nova 2s at an event in China. Basically, this mobile isn’t short of anything on papers and boasts in the mid-range segment, with a bezel-less display, four cameras, home button and latest Android version. The Nova 2s will be priced at 2,699 Yuan (approximately INR 27,000) for the 4GB model and 2,999 Yuan (approximately INR 30,000) for the 6GB RAM variant. It will be available in five colour options to choose from – black, grey, red, rose gold and blue. There is a special edition as well, dubbed as ‘Yixing Zhang’, which will retail at CNY 3,399 (roughly Rs. 33,100).

Coming to the smartphone now, the Nova 2s features a 6-inch FHD+ display (2160 x 1080 pixels resolution) with 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by its in-house processor, HiKirin 960 chip coupled with either – 4GB RAM and 64GB storage or 6GB RAM and 128GB storage and further expandable up to 256GB via micro SD card.

In the camera department, the smartphone boasts four cameras – two on the rear and two on the front. The rear comprises of a 16-megapixel RGB sensor with an aperture of f/1.8 and 20-megapixel monochrome sensor with an aperture of f/1.8. On the other hand, the front camera constitutes of 20MP and 2MP with f/2.0 aperture.

Apart from that, the dual-sim device will run on the latest version of Android Nougat v8.0, to our delight. It is fuelled by a 3340 mAh of battery life. Since the phone comes with a home button, it will double up and act as a fingerprint sensor. Other connectivity options include – Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, NFC and USB Type C port.

It is widely tipped that the phone will launch in India, too. What do you feel about the Huawei Nova 2s? Hit us up with your comments below!
