OnePlus 3 OpenBeta 13

OnePlus is now rolling out Oxygen OS 5.0.3 for OnePlus 3 and 3T which brings face unlock, May security patch and few more additions. The update is based on Android 8.0 Oreo and there is no sign of 8.1 Oreo yet.

After testing the face unlock feature for more than two months on Open Beta, OnePlus has finally brought the feature to the stable version. You can register your face in the settings menu, under the Security & lock screen options. It comes with few options like Auto unlock when the screen is on and Face unlock assitive lighting, which helps under low-lighting conditions. Also, the devices are now having the latest, May security patch.

In the OnePlus launcher, there are a few updates like Refined Shelf UI design, New design for App shortcuts, Supported more options when long pressing an icon. OnePlus gallery app has been updated and now comes with a map view of photos by location, support for sharing photos to Shot-On-OnePlus
Added “Recently Deleted” collection, which will be quite useful. The Weather app has now got a new widget for Launcher, Improved the positioning accuracy and adjust refresh interval for weather information update. Finally, the OnePlus File manager has got a new Added “Large files” category.
