Last night, along with the launch of the new Note smartphones – Note 10 and Note 10+, Samsung also announced a mobile computing device built for high-performing users, the Galaxy Book S. The Galaxy Book S is an always-on, always-connected and always-capable device. It comes with touch-to-wake capabilities for instant access. It is built with a premium anodized aluminum frame on the top and base, Galaxy Book S is protected against hazards that can typically damage a laptop and strengthened by the anodization process on the outer layer.

The Samsung Galaxy Book S features a 13.3-inch Full HD TFT 16:9 display. Under the hood, it is powered by an Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx 7nm 64-bit Compute Platform clocked at 2.84GHz. It comes in two variants – 8GB RAM LPDDR4X with either 256 or 512GB internal storage along with MicroSD slot up to 1TB. It houses a 720p HD camera for video calls and is running on Windows 10 Home/Pro depending the region. In the network department, it comes with LTE Cat.18 and Nano-SIM support.

Furthermore, there is also a fingerprint Sensor for quickly unlocking the notebook. It also supports Windows Hello sign-in with the fingerprint scanner. Other features of the device include Hall Sensor, Light Sensor, AKG Stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos technology, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth v 5.0, USB Type-C, Location, GPS. Finally, it packs in a 42Wh battery with up to 23 hours of battery life that supports PD2.0, AFC, and QC 2.0.
