Like most of you, I listen to FM whilst driving. I listen to FM for not just music but for entertainment. We all can play music from our music collection but what FM offers us is something irreplaceable. Not even the latest of technology has threatened FM as a source of entertainment. Talking about entertainment, my favorite RJ on FM is RJ Raunac. His Bauaa pranks are hilarious and I wait for them every time I am driving.
And one fine day, as I was listening to my favourite Bauaa, a mystery caller called and said he wants to offer 10 Lac to a person in dire need. At first, I thought it was a prank and someone is trying to pull RJ Raunac’s leg and trying to get back to him for all the pranks he has done.
But then I realized that it must be for real as RED FM won’t play a prank over and over again. One thing followed another and next thing we Delhities heard was the #MysteryMan reaching RED FM’s office and meeting RJ Raunac and sharing his story.

After listening to #MysteryMan, RED FM decided to give the power to its listeners. They urged each and every delhite to come forward and nominate or vote from someone.

A lot of people came forward and shared their stories but as RED FM had given the complete choice to the people of Delhi. The people of Delhi voted for the following stories and I’d ask all of you to listen to each and every story:

Finally, Raunac ki Dilli and the #MysteryMan decided to give Shikha the amount of 10 Lac to start a new life with. Hope more people come and give back to the society as that’s what keeps our faith alive.
As the founder of ‘The Unbiased Blog’, I want to share my unbiased views on the initiative taken by the MysteryMan and RED FM. Things that might cross your mind, as they certainly crossed mine would be:
- Why did someone decided to donate such a huge amount to some stranger
- Why did the #MysteryMan choose radio as his medium
- Finally even if he did choose Radio as his medium to reach out the masses, then why Red FM of all the channels
Well the answers to all these questions is answered by the #MysteryMan himself in his story which we shared earlier. Apart from his take, what I think is the main reason for him for all the above reasons are:
- The #MysteryMan is someone who was helped in the past when he did and now he wants to reciprocate the best way
- Choosing Radio as the medium was an obvious choice for the #MysteryMan for its reach
- Now here is a tricky one, why Red FM of all the channels on the Radio? Hmmmm, well if I had to do something similar, I’d too pick up the city’s favorite radio station and the No.1 RJ to help me pull this off.
