PayUmoney successfully launched “India Growth Drivers” in Hyderabad which is an initiative by PayUmoney to build India’s largest and the most valuable small business ecosystem. ‘India growth drivers’ platform will accelerate small business growth by helping them create a pan India network and leverage PayUmoney to grow faster online. The launch was held an inspiring event called “The Startup Growth Masterclass” for the first time in Hyderabad impacting the growth of startups in India. It is a part of the series of high value events for small businesses that PayU money is organizing in different states all across India.  The event was held on June 6, 2015, at IIIT-H Foundation, Gachibowli, Hyderabad.

Paritosh Sharma, Head- SME business, PayU Money, commented, “We are absolutely pumped up with the response to The Startup Growth Masterclass which we hosted for the first time. We plan to continue with our efforts in the future, focusing mostly on the Tier II and Tier III cities. In view of this, our next event is already scheduled to be held in Coimbatore, Chennai. Our mission is to build India’s most valuable small business ecosystem where small businesses thrive and grow.”

The Startup Growth Masterclass was a high impact 4 hour workshop led by seasoned professionals who have experienced growth across mobile apps to web technologies and in traditional offline businesses too. At the event, the experts shared key case studies and interesting examples of how small businesses around the world have grown without spending a lot of money. The Masterclass also had angel investors sharing what growth metrics they look for before investing into startups.

PayUMoney used its own growth philosophy while hosting this event. Instead of spending money on random marketing, it partnered with existing ecosystems across India. This partnership ensured that they get the maximum impact, gain visibility and grow while PayUmoney “India Growth Drivers” became the enabler of this growth.

Some of the key partners at the event were 50K Ventures, IIIT-H Foundation, f1 Studioz, Learnmor, Startup Hyderabad and Unltd. Hyderabad. The first Masterclass at Hyderabad witnessed registration of more than 110 Startups which occurred within 7 days of announcing the event, without spending any money on marketing.

This idea was inspired by the challenges being faced by most startups and small businesses to grow as most of them do not have large marketing budgets. With this event, all startups and participants became partners in creating value while showing a willingness todo things that don’t scale!
