In the second week of the year lot of new and exciting products were announced, Samsung announced Gear S3 smartwatches to the Indian market and also 2 new affordable 4G smartphones, HTC announced U Ultra and U Play smartphones, Opera announced a new concept browser called Opera Neon, and Lenovo launched a new smartphone in India. Samsung Gear S3

Initially launched at IFA 2016, Gear S3 made its way to India this week. It comes in 2 variants classic and Gear S3 frontier and is priced at INR 28,500. Both Smartwatches comes with 1.3″ Circular Super AMOLED display with Always On Display feature.

It comes with 1GHz Dual Core processor, 768MB RAM, 4GB Flash storage and these runs on Tizen OS 2.3.2. The battery built in is a 380mAh Li-ion battery with wireless charging. Connectivity options include 3G/4G LTE (Gear S3 frontier), WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, MST, GPS. Rest of the features are Built-in speaker, IP68 Certified Dust, and Water Resistant.

Samsung Galaxy J2 Ace and Galaxy J1 4G

Priced at INR 6,890 and INR 8,490 respectively, These smartphone offer features like Ultra Data Saving (UDS) Mode which provides up to 50% mobile data savings with data compression and S bike mode that lets consumers ‘ride tension free’ while encouraging responsible riding. HTC U Ultra and U play

HTC has started 2017 with new “U” series smartphones, U Ultra and U-Play. Both phones have ditched traditional 3.5mm audio jack and they come with new AI-powered software. HTC U Ultra comes with a secondary 2″ 160 x 1040 Super LCD panel on the top for displaying notifications, shortcuts similar to LG V20. Both smartphones come with Fingerprint scanner located on the front.

It comes with 3/4GB RAM variants. p2 runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and is Fingerprint sensor at the Front. The price starts at INR 16,999 and is available on Flipkart.

Opera Neon Browser

Opera has announced a new Desktop Browser for Windows and Mac users. Neon is a concept browser built on the same browser engine as the Opera browser. Opera Neon will provide users with fun ways to interact with web content, including the ability to drag and push things around, and even to even pop content out from the web. It uses user’s current desktop Wallpaper as Background image for Browser.

Features:

  • A left sidebar with video player, image gallery, and download manager.
  • A new visual tab bar on the right side of the browser window that makes it easier to distinguish between tabs.
  • An intelligent system that automatically manages tabs; like gravity, frequently-used tabs float to the top, while rarely-used tabs will sink to the bottom.
  • A completely new Omnibox, supporting top search engines and open search.
  • Video pop-out, which lets users watch videos while browsing other web pages
  • Snap-to-gallery, which allows users to snapshot and crop any part of a webpage and save to the gallery for later use.
  • A split-screen mode which allows for two pages to be used simultaneously.
