Nikon D850 with 45.7 MP CMOS sensor, 3.2-inch LCD monitor, 4K video recording launched in India for INR 2,54,950

Nikon has announced a new premium DSLR today in India – the Nikon D850. The D850 is focused towards the growing segment of hybrid photographers in wedding photography and of those in the genres of nature, events, and fashion. With a turnover of INR 1,100 crores in FY16, Nikon India aims to further raise the bar next year aiming a 5-10% increase. It is priced at INR 2,54,950 for D850 Body only and INR 2,99,950 for D850 with AF-S NIKKOR 24-120mm f/4G ED VR lens.

This is the latest addition to Nikon’s FX-format (full-frame) D-SLR range, it incorporates a BSI CMOS sensor, which captures more light resulting in a wider dynamic range and low-noise image capture. It is equipped with a 45.7-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor that guarantees an unmatched balance of high-speed and exceptional resolution when combined with up to 9-fps continuous shooting mode backed by its EXPEED 5 image-processing. It can also shoot up to 7 fps, or 9 fps when using the optional battery grip and an EN-EL18-series battery. Nikon D850 Launch

ISO ranges from 64 to 25600, auto exposure (AE) shooting is enabled in low-light and a variety of situations. The Lens options include AF-S NIKKOR- 105mm f/1.4E ED, or the AF-S NIKKOR 14-24mm f/2.8G ED for wide-angle landscapes, or the AF-S NIKKOR 24-120mm f/4G ED VR. Also, you can capture images in RAW for editing it later. The video recording is supported up to 4K UHD video, 4x and 5x slow-motion videos in Full HD, and 8K time-lapse movie. Movies can be recorded in both FX-based and DX-based movie formats, and the option to further make use of wide-angle and fisheye lenses to inspire greater creative expression. And, there is a 3.2-inch touch-screen with 2359k-dot LCD monitor, and button illumination that is helpful when shooting in dark situations, allow shots to be taken from varying angles and in different situations.
