Asus announces new ZenBook, VivoBook Notebooks, Project Precog and VivoWatch BP wearable at Computex 2018

Asus is on the roll at the ongoing Computex 2018 and has already has announced an array of products including a gaming smartphone, ROG laptops, Gigabyte Router, TUF gaming accessories, and more. Now, the company has announced refreshed lineup of ZenBook, VivoBook Notebooks, ASUS VivoWatch BP is brand-new healthcare device with ASUS-exclusive HealthAI technology for lifestyle and blood pressure analysis and Project Precog Future PC Concept.

VivoWatch BP

In the wearable world, Asus is pretty well known for their WearOS based Zen watches, which are quite affordable. The VivoWatch BP is a brand-new healthcare device with ASUS-exclusive HealthAI technology for lifestyle and blood pressure. It comes with built-in ECG and PPG sensors, VivoWatch BP provides real-time blood pressure measurements in just 15 seconds. It features ASUS HealthAI technology to help users keep track of their blood pressure and health stats – such as heart rate, sleep quality, activity data, and de-stress index while also providing suggestions for a better lifestyle.ZenBook, VivoBook Notebooks, Project Precog and VivoWatch BP wearable Built with medical-grade materials, VivoWatch BP is 70% smaller and 50% lighter than current wrist-mounted blood pressure monitors. Asus claims a 28-day battery life, users can keep track of their health anytime, anywhere.

VivoBook S15 (S530) and VivoBook S14 (S430)

VivoBook S15 (S530) and S14 (S430) are lightweight notebooks powered by Windows 10 and are available in five vibrant color options -Firmament Green, Star Grey, Silver Blue, Gun Metal and Icicle Gold and several textured finishes including a unique woven texture for a distinct style. VivoBook S15 and VivoBook S14 weigh only 1.8kg and 1.4kg respectively, and both notebooks are thin at just 18mm. VivoBook S15 and S14 are the first notebooks in the VivoBook Series to feature the new three-sided NanoEdge design that has even narrower bezels along the top and sides of the display. This gives VivoBook S15 an 86% screen-to-body ratio, and VivoBook S14 an 84% screen-to-body ratio for an unrivaled immersive viewing experience in a much more compact package.VivoBook S15 and VivoBook S14 are powered by up to an 8th Generation Intel Core i7 processor with NVIDIA GeForce MX150 discrete graphics. Both notebooks feature dual-storage designs, with VivoBook S15 featuring up to a 512GB SSD and 2TB HDD.

VivoBook S13 (S330)

VivoBook S13 is the first ASUS notebook to feature a four-sided NanoEdge display with an 89% screen-to-body ratio. The incredibly slim 4.3mm bezel allows VivoBook S13 to fit a 13-inch display into a chassis size of a traditional 11-inch notebook. VivoBook S13 comes with up to an 8th Generation Intel Core i7 processor and NVIDIA GeForceMX150 discrete graphics.VivoBook Flip 14 (TP412)

VivoBook Flip 14 (TP412) is a convertible Windows 10 notebooks, featuring a 360°-flippable display that allows this versatile device to be used in notebook, stand, tent and tablet modes or anything in between. VivoBook Flip 14 has a thin 17.6mm profile, weighing at1.5kg, and features an ASUS NanoEdge touchscreen with a 6.15mm-thin bezel for more immersive viewing with an 82% screen-to-body ratio. It is powered by up to an 8th Generation Intel Core i7 processor with 16GB of RAM for powerful and energy-efficient performance and features up to a 1TB SSD for fast, high-capacity storage. VivoBook Flip 14 is also equipped with a touchpad-mounted fingerprint sensor for one-touch login via Window Hello and also supports the ASUS Pen active stylus for accurate input and writing with a natural, responsive feel.

ZenBook Pro 15 (UX580) and ZenBook Pro 14 (UX480)

The ZenBook Pro Series is Windows 10 notebooks for professionals that introduce new ScreenPad, an Asus innovation that transforms the way users work and interact with their notebook. ScreenPad combines a touchpad with a high-resolution, full-color touchscreen to offer novel ways of interacting intelligently with both Windows apps and dedicated programs called ScreenPad Apps. ScreenPad features adaptive functions with context-sensitive tools to enhance workflow and productivity and is fully customizable to allow users to personalize their experience. Currently supported apps include Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and YouTube, with support for other popular apps under development, such as ASUS Sync, which lets users control their phone via ScreenPad. ZenBook S (UX391)

ZenBook S (UX391) is a 13.3-inch ultraportable Windows 10 notebook with military-grade MIL-STD-810G durability standards with an ultrathin 12.9mm profile and ultralight 1kg all-metal unibody, the ZenBook S comes in Deep Dive Blue or elegant Burgundy Red with Rose Gold diamond-cut edges, complete with the iconic Zen-inspired spun-metal finish for a luxurious look and feel. ZenBook S incorporates the new ErgoLift hinge that automatically tilts the keyboard by 5.5° for the ultimate typing comfort. The raised chassis also improves airflow and enhances audio performance.It is powered by 8th Generation Intel Core processors and a superfast PCIe x4 SSD, ZenBook S also features up to a 4K UHD NanoEdge touchscreen, and delivers up to 13.5 hours battery life for all-day performance. Project Precog

Project Precog is a concept of the first convertible, a dual-screen notebook with fully enhanced AI features. It implements a dual-screen form factor for versatility, expandability and increased productivity. With a 360° hinge joining the two displays, the PC can be used in four modes Stand, Book, Tent, and Flat while providing twice the screen space of traditional notebooks. This innovative form factor gets rid of the traditional physical keyboard and touchpad setup, replacing it with the flexibility to work as either an extended screen or as a customizable interactive interface. Project Precog is designed to provide a smooth and intuitive experience for industry-leading AI technologies. AI Touch automatically recognizes the active input device and changes the virtual interface accordingly. It can automatically adjust the keyboard location depending on where the user places their fingertips, or automatically switch to stylus mode when a stylus touches the lower screen. With built-in Window Cortana and Amazon Alexa, users can get more done with the power of their voice.  The dual-screen design of Project Precog lets users keep their main tasks in full view while virtual assistants process other tasks on the second screen. The enlarged screen real estate is also perfect for apps processing large amounts of data and information, such as the AI-powered Microsoft Office 365. Project Precog supports the Intel Movidius Vision Processor Unit (VPU), and ASUS will encourage developers worldwide to create engaging AI-powered experiences.
