PUBG MOBILE adds sanhok map, new weapons, and more in September update

In the latest September update, PUBG Mobile has received an update that will be available starting today. Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds Mobile (PUBG Mobile ) is now offering the much-anticipated Sanhok map. Set in a dense jungle with varying landscape, Sanhok offers players a smaller map for more tense combat scenarios and gun battles, adding to the list of previous updates, which included the Miramar map, training mode, first-person mode and much more.

Tencent Games today also released even more impressive statistics for PUBG Mobile, as the game continues to dominate the mobile market with more than 20 million daily active users (not including Japan, Korea, and China). In Season 2, the previous 14-week period of games, more than 130 million players from more than 200 countries earned themselves 864,425,575 chicken dinners. Further, to the inclusion of Sanhok, PUBG Mobile latest update adds new in-game and social features that enhance the player’s ability to work with teammates cooperatively, including:

  • New Weapons and Vehicles – Sanhok map comes with several new weapons and vehicles, including the Flare Gun, QBZ, Muscle Car and Bulletproof UAZ
  • Anti-Cheating Measures – Improved recognition for cheating plug-ins and added report buttons to Spectator Mode, Basic Information, and Results screens
  • Season Data – Season page now shows all seasons player and relevant data, including titles, highest tier reached and more
  • Gameplay Improvements – Improvements have been made to the chat system, clan rankings, airdrop items, friends list and more

About the game

100 players parachute onto a remote 8×8 km island for a winner-takes-all showdown. Players have to locate and scavenge their own weapons, vehicles, and supplies and defeat every player in a graphically and tactically rich battleground that forces players into a shrinking play zone. Get ready to land, loot, and do whatever it takes to survive and be the last man standing. A constantly growing lethal arsenal of firearms, melee weapons, and throwables with realistic ballistics and travel trajectories gives you the option to shoot, beat down, or incinerate your adversaries.
