According to a recent study, over 90% of frequent flyers flying in and out at odd hours skip food at the airport due to the tight schedule, resulting in long gaps between meals. Addressing this rising issue, CSMIA along with GrabbnGo, have introduced “Order Ahead” services to let passengers experience the convenience of the food of their choice being delivered to them directly at their boarding gates, especially during peak hours. The platform has associated with various food brands present at CSMIA such as KFC, Burger King, Subway, Pizza Hut, among others. The mobile application also includes brands offering food for the health-conscious to grab food of their choice and as per their diet, as they board their flight.

This food technology application enables the passengers to find food stores along the route from security check to the boarding gate with/without any detour. It will allow stores to receive the order through their patented JITO (Just in Time Order) algorithm pushing the order to the store ensuring passengers get their food hot and fresh, irrespective of the time when the order was placed. This technology also allows passengers to collect their orders at the special dedicated express pickup counter at the outlets. The new food service technology will be available to passengers traveling via both departures as well as arrivals, across both the terminals.
