Nokia is hosting a series of Innovation Days here in India to showcase how 5G technology can transform the way people live and work as well as enhance the industrial productivity in India. At the event, the company is presenting how this technology can immensely benefit telecom operators, enterprises and individuals.

The Future X Network will trigger a 4th Industrial Revolution that profoundly changes how people live, and how cities, enterprises, and industries run. Therefore, Nokia is shaping the future of 5G and cloud-led network transformation to drive innovation through an all-digital network with 100 times today’s capacity and lightning-fast response times which fluidly adapts to our needs. Enterprises, on the other hand, can be empowered, directly and in partnership with service providers, to win through digital transformation. Nokia is providing the enablers to improve business efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction within various vertical industries.

Nokia’s showcase at the event will include Adaptive Traffic Management with two traffic signals controller that calculate the traffic density, direction of the movement and speed based on the feedback from its sensors to calculate the optimum traffic signal time (green and red light) at its junction; Industry 4.0 Nokia’s “Conscious Factory” project aims to transform factories to an agile, intelligent manufacturing service, fully automated and green that is self-learning and able to predict demand flexibly. We are showcasing this in a demo format; smart water metering for connected cities.

The company will also demonstrate the unique benefits of Ultra-Reliable Low Latency Communications (URLLC) through 5G to consumer applications such as online gaming, immersive entertainment, haptic capabilities. Visitors also can experience how private LTE can streamline operations for both mines and airports as well as how Nokia’s worldwide IoT network grid (WING) as a service enables rapid IoT revenue expansion with minimal investment and less risk. Nokia with its end-to-end 5G portfolio and 37 5G commercial contracts – 20 with named customers including T-Mobile, AT&T, and Telia – is committed to bringing 5G to Kenya to unlock new opportunities and further the socio-economic development.
