Since its licensing issues with Google, Huawei’s mobile business has been struggling in India. To ease the pressure, the brand since has launched its MediaPad, smartwatch and a bunch of Bluetooth earphones.

Now the company is gearing to launch its Truly Wireless earbuds, the Freebuds 3 next week probably on the 25th as revealed by our sources. As previous leaks have stated, the Freebuds 3 will come at a sticker price of INR 14,990 with the actual selling price of INR 11,990. At this pricing, they will go head-on with the Samsung Galaxy Buds Plus while undercutting the Apple AirPods Gen2.

The buds will come in two colors White and Black, and our source got hands on the Black Retail unit. For the INR 12K, honestly, the buds will prove to be the best option for buyers looking for a clean minimalistic look and Active Noise Cancellation (ANC).

Huawei FreeBuds 3 features

The Huawei FreeBuds 3 sport an in-ear design with the stem just like one found on Apple AirPods. Unlike the squarish case on AirPods, you get a circular charging case here with support for wireless charging. The buds are powered by Huawei’s Kirin A1 chip that they made solely for wearables.

There are 14.2mm dynamic drivers on either side and Isochronous Dual Channel transmission technology for low latency and low power consumption. Apart from this, they have the usual touch controls for play/pause along with a wear detection sensor. With a 410mAh cell in the case, the buds themselves have a 30mAh battery which provides close to 4 hours of continuous usage. Along with this, since these come with Active Noise Cancellation tech, there is an accompanying app to tweak the settings as your taste.
