While India cripples with the second wave of Covid-19, World leaders have shown solidarity and support for India. Yesterday, US President Joe Biden had expressed solidarity with India in its fight against this brutal phase of the pandemic. POTUS had also asserted that the USA was determined to support its efforts by quickly deploying resources like therapeutics, ventilators and identifying sources of raw materials to be made available for the manufacture of the Covishield vaccine.

Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi also thanked President Biden on Twitter:

And this was not the only announcement by Cupertino Chief today. Tim Cook also announced a whopping $403 Billion investment in US innovation and manufacturing to recover and rebuild America. And with this investment, Apple wants to create 20,000 new jobs in the next 5 years for the American people.

The accelerated commitment will fund a new North Carolina campus and job-creating investments in innovative fields like silicon engineering and 5G technology

You can read more about this announcement on the Apple Newsroom website – Apple commits $430 billion in US investments over five years – Apple.

And that’s not all the news from Apple Park for today. It was a busy day for folks at Apple with the availability of iOS 14.5 for the masses announced a few hours ago. And just moments ago an update for the Apple Clips app was also announced.

The iOS 14.5 can also be termed as the most controversial iOS updates in recent times thanks to its App Tracking Transparency that requires apps to get the user’s permission before tracking their data across apps or websites owned by other companies for advertising or sharing their data with data brokers.
