Noise Colorfit Pro 3: The Unbiased Review – Small on Budget, Big on Features

Fitness smart wearables under the price bracket of 5000 INR are dim and a dozen. The Noise was one of the first brands in India to commodify a truly wireless experience to the users with the Noise Buds Shot. They’re renewing its focus on smart wearables and adding a new smartwatch into Colorfit Pro’s portfolio i.e, Noise Colorfit Pro 3. It’s a smartwatch that is primarily focused on fitness with a slightly bigger display and various health tracking features at a price bracket of under Rs.5000. Will this smart wearable be able to create a place for itself at this price bracket. DESIGN & DISPLAY

The Noise Colorfit Pro 3 has the same subtle design language which is followed by Apple, a squarish dial that is made up of plastic with silver curved painted edges which looks like aluminium but its plastic. For our review period, we are using its Smoke Green colourway. It is also available in 5 more colour options i.e, Jet Black and Blue, Smoke Grey, Rose Pink and Red. The 22mm strap is made up of silicon material and it’s swappable as well.

There’s a crown button on the right which works as a button for navigating to the other functions. This button is made up of aluminium which delivers somewhat Ok tactile feedback. Due to its aluminium build, it has an audible clicking sound that doesn’t feel premium at all. With 5 ATM water resistance which means it can easily survive up to a depth of 50 metres and for the time duration of 10 minutes. At weighing around only 35 grams, It feels lightweight and fits comfortably on my wrist. On the rear, it boasts a Pogo Pin which is supplied by its proprietary magnetic charger which comes along inside the box. It’s hassle-free to connect the watch to juice it up.

Onto the front, It includes a 1.55 inch TFT LCD touch screen display with a resolution of 320×360 pixels. The watch’s display peeks larger than it is due to the chunky bezels around it. Especially, the bottom chin is exceptionally thick. The viewing angles are good at every angle and you can’t oppose the display at this price range. Alongside, the 4 level brightness level, this panel can fetch enough brightness for outdoor visibility. Overall, Noise Colorfit Pro 3’s design is a facsimile of the Apple Watch with its squarish design, its build is nowhere feels premium.

ACTIVITY & FITNESS TRACKING

It features 14 workout modes:- Outdoor Walking, Outdoor Running, Outdoor Cycling, Indoor Walking, Indoor Running, Indoor Cycling, Elliptical, Rower, Pool Swimming, Open Water Swimming, Cricket, Hiking, Yoga and Workout.

Fitness tracking activities like walking and cycling, we compared it with the Bip U Pro on the same time interval and it records extra footsteps while walking. Basic activities like step tracking, heart rate monitoring, distance covered worked without a hitch. The Sp02 blood oxygen levels were also comparable with the Pulse oximeter. It isn’t able to sync up with the device GPS to get the geographical record of your session which pulls it a little backwards from the competitors. It flashes the duration of the workout, calories burned, average pace, speed and cadence, total steps taken, average heart rate and stride.

As far as sleep tracking is concerned, it converts the sleep cycle into three categories:- REM, deep sleep and light sleep for better sleep analysis. It also serves some additional bonus with the Sedentary, Hydration and Hands Wash Reminder with a breathing mode with it for a better breathing cycle. The sleep analysis recorded nearly accurate which can help in improving your sleep cycles.

SOFTWARE & BATTERY

The Noisefit app provides comprehensive data for workout activities which keeps the record of workouts and can set different goals for the future. This analysis can be shared by friends and family. There are some connectivity problems with my unit as it disconnects and reconnects with the smartphone due to which notifications suffer a lot.

The music can be controlled by the smartwatch itself but there are no camera controls in it. Stress monitoring can also be done on this smartwatch which is not accurate sometimes. This smartwatch also supports custom watch faces and it can store up to 5 watch faces in it.It also comprises of female health tracking features.

With a 210mAh battery where Noise claims that it can withstand up to ten days and its battery life decently provided seven days of standby with heart rate measurement set to every 15 minutes of interval and brightness levels set to high. It consumes almost 2 hours to reach from 0%-100% which is slow but fair for the world of wearables.

THE UNBIASED VERDICT

The Noise Colorfit Pro 3 comes in 6 colours which are priced at Rs.4,499 available on Amazon, Flipkart and Noise official website. However, Noise is selling it for Rs.4,499 whereas its actual price is Rs.5999 which is a straight discount of Rs. 1500.

If you are looking for a smart wearable with a huge & vibrant display, with a heart rate and oxygen level monitoring seasons embedded with decent battery life and a slightly compromised build quality, Then you should opt for the Noise Colorfit Pro 3. It also has a wide variety of customisable straps which is available on the Noise official store which is easily swappable as these have detachable straps.

Keeping its competitors into the frame, Amazfit Bip U is priced at Rs.3499 which offers almost similar specifications to the board with a slightly smaller display as compared to the Noise Colorfit Pro 3 and its Rs.1000 cheaper than it. If you are okay with a small display then Amazfit Bip U will be enough to satisfy your requirements.

We don’t change our reviews on pressure from brands and that’s the reason we are not sent review units from companies like Samsung, OnePlus and a few more.
