OPPO A16 launched in India with prices starting at INR 13,990. The device comes with ‘Eye Care Display’ technology that according to the maker allows one to watch hours of their favourite entertainment without any visual discomfort. It also gets a 5000mAh battery.

As for the pricing and availability, the OPPO A16 is priced at INR 13,990 and will go on sale on Amazon and mainline retail outlets from 20th September.

“The OPPO A16 balances style with function. Its trendy design makes it flaunt-worthy, while its large battery lets you end the day with power to spare even after a full day of camera use, along with hi-definition video entertainment thrown in for good measure,” said Damyant Singh Khanoria, CMO, OPPO India.

As for the device itself, the OPPO A16 comes with a 6.5″ HD+ waterdrop LCD screen with Eye Care mode that allows one to enjoy their favourite entertainment all day long with its sunlight and moonlight screens that dim and brighten automatically based on your ambient lighting conditions.

Under the hood, the device comes with a 5000mAh battery, which according to OPPO can last up to 34 hours of call time or 21 hours of YouTube video playback. OPPO also claims that it comes with ‘Smart Temperature Control’ that monitors the heat that is generated while the device is on charge and reduces the charging current if it is found to be too high.

For the cameras, the OPPO A16 gets a 13MP main camera with 2MP Depth (Bokeh) and a 2MP Macro snapper. The camera app lets one balance saturation and brightness, adjust the colour levels manually, or choose from 15 filters for quick photo post-production. While on the front, it comes with an 8MP front camera lets you take clear selfies, while its AI Beautification on both front and rear.
