WeChat, introduced its latest WeChat 5.4 for Android users.  WeChat 5.4 for Android further enriches users’ social communication experience with four exciting new features, including a sleek new user interface; enhancing WeChat’s fun, innovative, all-in-one platform.

The clean interface features four frequently used icons (Chats, Contacts, Discover and Me) placed conveniently at the bottom of the screen, ensuring easy access and a smooth user experience. The latest version is now available for download on Google Play.

  • Last Read Message Bookmark: After receiving 10 or more unread messages, you will receive a “New Messages” notification which will take you directly to your new messages.
  • New Navigation and “Me” Tab: The new user-interface displays a 4-Tab Menu, including a “Me” tab that allows you to easily adjust your account, privacy settings and customize your WeChat experience.
  • Improved Search: The upgraded search bar lets you find any message with ease. You can even search through your “tags”!
  • LinkedIn Connect: Sync your LinkedIn account to add your professional contacts as WeChat friends!
  • Tag Friends in Group Chat: Now WeChat allows users to tag any friend in a group by prefixing ‘@’ followed by friends WeChatID to send a specialized notification to them.
  • 500 Members Group Chat: WeChat users can now add as many as 500 friends in a single Group Chat

In addition to these innovative features, WeChat also introduced ‘Recall Message’ feature in its last update. This feature enables users to recall any sent message within two minutes of sending it.
