Acer has announced a new lightweight laptop in India, the Acer Swift 5. One of the Unique Selling Point of the Acer Swift 5 is the weight, it weighs in just at 970gms. Apart from that, the Swift 5 is powered by the latest 8th Generation Intel Core processor and it is constructed with ultra-light magnesium-lithium alloys for the top and bottom cover, and magnesium-aluminum alloys for extra sturdiness on the palm rest area.

The Acer Swift 5 comes with a 14-inch FHD display with narrow bezels allowing the overall footprint of the notebook to be similar to that of a 13” notebook. It is designed for users who want prefer portability, solid performance, and a touch of style. It comes with 8GB DDR4 RAM and 512GB SSD. Acer claims up to 8-hour battery life. Other features include 2×2 802.11ac Wi-Fi, backlit keyboard, Acer TrueHarmony with Dolby Audio, Skype for Business and Cortana integration. The company promises up to 8 hours of battery life. Acer Swift 5Further, it comes with features like Dual USB 3.1 Type-C port for quick data transfers, connection to an external display, and to charge the notebook. The swift 5 includes a fingerprint reader to help quickly and securely verify an owner’s identity through Windows Hello, logging them on with a touch of the finger. The Swift 5 will start at INR 79,999 and will be available in Acer Exclusive stores and other leading retailers pan India.
