YU, the sub-brand of Micromax India has entered the Smart TV market in India today. The company has announced a new YU Yuphoria 40-inch Full HD Smart LED TV that is available for INR 18,499 on Amazon currently. YU is entering the Consumer Electronics industry for the first time.
The 40-inch Full HD Yuphoria Smart LED TV allows its user to cast media from their smartphone to the Smart TV. It is powered by a quad-core processor and the Airplay allows to connect Apple devices for sharing media content. The Smart TV is based on Android and comes with its Aptoide App store, wherein users can choose from thousands of applications in one App store itself. One can simply connect their smartphones with the TV and not just play games through their smartphone, but also operate the entire TV at the touch of just a few buttons on their smartphones. It comes with a 24 W output speaker. Further, the TV comes with 2 USB ports to connect hard drives and other USB devices and a VGA port to connect laptops. With the smartphone penetration and adoption happening at an unprecedented rate in the country today, almost every second person is seen carrying a phone in their hands. To ensure that consumers can make the most of their smartphones and have a worthwhile experience, seamless integration between the phones and their televisions has become a necessity. That seamless experience is exactly what this newly launched YU Smart TV aspires to give all its users, enabling them to make the most of both the technologies, said the company.
