Just last week we saw a report on XDA that Redmi K30 Pro might launch under POCO branding in India and rumors started spreading like a wildfire. People’s first inclination was that the recently launched Redmi K30 Pro could come as POCO F2 in India but that seems to be false.

In an interaction with POCO Fans over a Zoom meeting today, POCO GM, C Manmohan has revealed that POCO F2 is a different smartphone from Redmi K30 Pro. In the same meeting, he revealed that POCO F2 is still in works and it will definitely not be priced around INR 20,000. Like the POCO F1, this new model will indeed come with the latest gen top of the line hardware.

Manmohan also revealed that the company is working on TWS earbuds. It will be interesting to see if Xiaomi rebrands one of their TWS products available in China under the POCO branding.
