What does a company do when their product is a huge success? Should they launch a interim successor or wait for the cycle to launch the next generation? The ‘Never Settle’ phone maker decided not to wait an year to launch the next gen of its recent flagship device OnePlus 3. In fact, OnePlus today had launched the OnePlus 3T. This launch comes just 5 months after the launch of OnePlus 3. The OnePlus 3T is priced at the US $439 (INR 29782.1)
Coming to the specs, the OnePlus 3T sports a 5.5″ Full HD optic AMOLED Display similar to OnePlus 3. The device is powered by a Snapdragon 821 Processor. It is coupled with Adreno 530 GPU. The 3T is has the same 6GB RAM found on the Oneplus 3 and comes in 2 variant of storage this time with 64 and 128GB storage. Though the colour options remains to be the same -Gun Metal and Soft Gold.
The optics on the rear remains same as OnePlus 3 with a 16MP Sony IMX 298 sensor rear camera with OIS, PDFA, f/2.0 aperture, 1.12micron pixel and support for 4k recording. The front houses a new 16 MP camera with Samsung 3P8SP Sensor and f/2.0 aperture. The battery on this also has been bumped up to 3400mAh compared to 3000mAh on OnePlus 3.
The Dash Charge charging technology on the 3T will remain same as we have seen on OnPlus 3. With Dash Charge users can charge their device up to 63% in just an hour of charge with the provided charger. The smartphone runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 with Oxygen OS. Rest set of connectivity options are the same -NFC, 4G LTE with VoLTE, Fingerprint sensor, GPS,Wifi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, USB type C.
