At the OnePlus 6 India launch, the company said that the OnePlus Open Ears Forum will be coming soon to India after a successful run in the north. The OnePlus Open Ears Forum will be held on 7th July in India and the applications for the same are now open, you have to just fill the form with few answers and if selected you’ll be notified within 15th June.

‘Open Ears’ is a unique community event from OnePlus, it started with London that led to several key developments including ‘One Time Resolution’  of issues, repair centers, an app for diagnostics and troubleshooting and video guides on how best to use your OnePlus device. Since then, ‘Open Ears’ has been held at several locations globally, including Stockholm in March where Customer Support was the theme of discussion, San Francisco in April this year, where community members spoke about software, in order to work towards a better OxygenOS experience and Hamburg where the camera was discussed at length to incorporate important changes like optimising panorama and photo-editing experiences.

The first ever Open Ears Forum in India will allow core users and community members to closely interact with the OnePlus team to discuss a number of topics related to the product and software and also dive deep into the OnePlus 6. OnePlus has over 1.4 million community members globally, of which a majority come from India. Head here to fill the application. 30 applicants will be selected to attend Open Ears India. Travel and accommodation for the same will be covered by OnePlus. Entries are open until the 12th of June, (Tuesday) until 11:59 PM.

“Our ‘Never Settle’ motto means we are always eager to improve ourselves, and our users play a significant role when developing new releases. Keeping this in mind, we wanted to hear directly from our Indian fans. We do not run after trends or take short-term decisions but want to create a smartphone that is created based on what our user needs. We appreciate the opportunity to speak directly with our users, contributing to the development of new features and products,” said Pete Lau, Founder and CEO, OnePlus.
