Xiaomi has showcased its new wireless charging tech in China today. The company has introduced Mi Charge Turbo Wireless Charging. This wireless charging supports 30W speed which is an industry-first for a smartphone. The new wireless charging tech features a new solution which uses a 5-layer nanocrystal receiver coil with a conversion efficiency of 98 percent to keep the temperatures under control.

Xiaomi claims that for a smartphone with 4000mAH battery with the new 30W Mi Charge Turbo Wireless Charging can be charged up to 50% in 25 minutes and it will completely charge the device in 69 minutes, which is pretty fast when compared to 20W and 27W wired fast charging speeds. The new tech also supports reverse wireless charging up to 10W to charge Bluetooth accessories, smartwatches, and smartphones. The high-power wireless reverse charging charges iPhone XS to 30% in 30 minutes.

Further, Xiaomi also announced that the new 30W Mi Charge Turbo Wireless Charging will be making its debut on the upcoming Mi 9 Pro 5G flagship smartphone. This Wireless charging also uses a double stage charge pump that charges more efficiently and generates less heat than the 2:1 architecture used in the last 20W wireless charging solution on the Mi 9. The company also announced that they are also testing 40W wireless charging solution.
