Whether it’s a hair stylist that has transformed your barnet from dull to dazzling, a beautician that has made you look and feel like a movie star, a salon that consistently provides an excellent environment, a talented newcomer to the industry or indeed somebody that has dedicated their entire life to it – these Awards provide a platform to thank those in the beauty and salon industry, letting them know that their good work doesn’t go un-noticed. The event promises to be as glam as the individuals and salons it’s acknowledging!
Bringing those who relentlessly work on your body behind the scenes to the limelight, Auras Enterprises announces the first of its kind awards of India – India Hair and Beauty Awards 2015. The winners spread across 30 categories will be honoured on 9th of May at the Jawahar Lal Nehru Stadium at a red carpet gala award nite.
The brain behind the concept Sam Ali shares his thought on the reasoning behind these Awards: “India has never had an award to felicitate or talk about the work that goes backstage. It is very important that we start recognising this talented group of people and give them the due credit. A lot of study and hardwork goes into it to make someone beautiful from the head to toe.”
Ali adds further, “KPMG Wellness Sector report released in April this year projected that the size of India’s beauty and wellness market would nearly double to Rs.80,370 Crore by 2017/18 from Rs.41,224 Crore in 2012/13. It says that the business is so good that it has caught the attention of private equity firms but it is quite unfortunate that there are no awards for this industry that appreciates and recognizes its creativity.”
