What a way to start the New Year’s for OnePlus 3 and 3T users. The never settle smartphone maker has started rolling out Android Nougat update as a treat on New Year’s. The update size is around 1GB for OnePlus 3 and 919MB for 3T users. It is recommended to download the update using Wi-Fi.

OnePlus was Beta Testing Android 7.0 Nougat from November and finally the Oxygen OS 4.0 update is rolling out for all its users.

Here are some highlights:

  • Upgraded to Android 7.0 Nougat
  • New Notifications Design
  • New Settings Menu Design
  • Multi-Window View
  • Notification Direct Reply
  • Custom DPI Support
  • Added Status Bar Icon Options
  • Improved Shelf Customization

As always, this OTA will be incremental. The OTA will reach a small percentage of users today, and we’ll begin a broader rollout in a few days.

If you can’t wait until you get the OTA Update, go to play store and download the Opera VPN app and select Germany as the region, then check for update, Voila you will get the Nougat update. After getting the update Turn off the VPN and download.
