Huawei’s online brand, Honor is now the leading online smartphone brand in China in terms of volume as per market research firm Sino-Market Research. Huawei managed to sell 2.02 million units of Honor-branded smartphones in January 2017 alone, with this huge number Honor has managed to capture 23% of Online market share. Last year, in January Honor, had 18.8% of share in the Online market.

At second spot comes Xiaomi with 1.94 million units sold and capturing 22.1% of marker share, 22% decrease in volume compared to January 2016. Samsung dropped to 10th position with just 2.5% of market share. Apple comes in at 3rd position with 12.5% of the Online market share and 13.4% increase in share compared to last year.
The fourth position is held by Meizu with 10.1% of share and decrease in volume by 8% YOY. Honor’s parent company Huawei is next at 5th position with 8.3% of Online market share and 5% decrease in shipment volume YOY. At position 6,7 and 8 is Oppo, ZTE, and Le with 2.9%, 2.5% and 2.4% of the market share. Le’s market share has been decreased by 42% compared to 2016, January. 360 comes in at 9th with 2% share and decrease in volume by 17%, as said earlier Samsung comes in at 10th position, 10th.
As reported back in October, Oppo was the leading Smartphone Brand in China in Q3 2016 with 17.5% of Market share(Offline+Online), Honor had captured the 3rd position with 15.7% of market share and Apple had 7.1% of share. Huawei is growing rapidly across the globe with its wide range of smartphones for all different smartphones. Honor recently launched the Honor 6x IN India for INR 12,999.
