ASUS launches ‘Republic of Gamers’ (ROG) store in Bangalore

Asus has unveiled the World’s thinnest gaming laptop at an event in Bengaluru today. The laptop is just 16.9mm thick, which is significantly less for a gaming laptop that is this powerful. The ROG Zephyrus is priced at INR 2,99,990 and will be available for pre-order on their official website soon or people can get them at the exclusive ROG outlets across India.

The laptop is powered by a 7th generation Intel Core i7 processor(Kaby Lake) and it comes with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 graphics. It runs on the latest Windows 10 Creators update, which helps to get better performance with the new Windows Gaming Mode and also makes it easy to do native game-streaming with Beam, Microsoft’s streaming service. The laptop was announced on the sideline of ROG Masters South Asia Finale at Lalit Hotel, Bengaluru.

The Asus ROG Zephyrus comes with 15.6-inch Full HD display, 120Hz frame rate, which enables smooth gameplay. The G-SYNC technology from NVIDIA syncs the display’s refresh rate with graphics card’s frame rate. The laptop has 2 DDR slots for memory, it can fit up to 64GB of RAM and comes with 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB of M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD storage options. The ports on the new gaming laptop include a Thunderbolt 3 Type-C, 4 X USB 3.1 Type-A, HDMI 2.0 (for VR), and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The laptop also supports Virtual Reality.

This gaming laptop comes with Max-Q technology, Active Aerodynamic System (AAS) that runs cooler and quieter without sacrificing performance. The gaming keyboard comes with Aura RGB lighting and a unique touchpad with 10-key functionality. The Aura RGB lighting provides customizable light effects for the entire keyboard as well as separately for the WASD and QWER keys. Also, the touchpad is present at the right and comes with 10 key functions that are activated by a hot key.
