Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2

Taiwanese giant, Asus is all set to launch a new midrange smartphone, which will the successor of the Zenfone Maz Pro M1 this month. The Zenfone Max Pro M1 was launched back in April here in India for the starting price of INR 10,999 and is still one of the best budget smartphones out there. The company will be now announcing the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 in India on December 11.

As per the teaser on e-commerce site, Flipkart the Zenfone Max Pro M2 will come with the latest Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection up front, which is really impressive considering some other companies in midrange offer only Gorilla Glass 3. As of now Gorilla Glass 6 is only seen on flagship smartphones like OnePlus 6T, Razer Phone 2, and few others. Corning Gorilla Glass 6 can survive 15 drops from 1 meter onto rough surfaces and is up to two times better than Gorilla Glass 5.Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 A couple of days ago, the specifications and images were leaked online and here is what the phone will offer. At first, the Pro M2 will come with a notch equipped 6-inch (1080 x 2340pixel) display, under the hood, it will be powered by an Octa-core Snapdragon 660 SoC clocked at 2.2GHz, Adreno 610 GPU. It will come with up to 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage with microSD card slot. Like its predecessor, this smartphone will also run on near stock Android. Also, it is expected to pack in a big 5000mAH battery.

On the optics side, it will come with a 12MP+5MP dual rear camera set-up with an LED flash, Sony IMX486 sensor and a 13MP front camera for selfies. The company might also announce the non-Pro variant at the launch on December 11. More details shall be revealed on the launch day itself.
