OPPO launches new F series smartphones in India. The first model in the F series is the Oppo F1. The device is focused on photography (read selfie photography). The smartphone has been priced at Rs.15,990. Oppo also announced that it will be launching F1 plus for the Indian market in April for Rs.26,990.

The Oppo F1 sports an Aluminium body, is 7.25 mm thin and weighs around 134 gm.

F1 comes with 5” HD display with 294 ppi protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 4. It’s powered by Snapdragon 616 octa-core processor clubbed with Adreno 306 GPU. It packs with 2500mAh battery.

F1 runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with color OS 2.1 on top. It packs 16GB of on-board storage with MicroSD card support upto 128GB and coupled with 3GB of RAM clocked at 1866Mhz. Its a Dual sim phone(micro+nano)with support for 4G in India.

Coming to main USP of the smartphone – Its sports a 13MP f/2.2 Rear camera with single LED Flash. The front facing camera is a 8MP with wider f/2.0 aperture along with many software such as 8 live color filters, beautify 3.0 etc. The display of smartphone doubles as Front Flash in low light.

Oppo F1 includes all set of normal sensors with additional digital compass. For connectivity there is BT, WiFi, USB 2.0, GPS, A-GPS.

In 2016, OPPO India is targeting a radical development and views this year to be the year of rising. To achieve that, the company will not only have the F1 and the F1 Plus, but extend its efforts to areas of marketing, distribution channels and service policies.

OPPO has renewed its brand association with Bollywood superstars Hrithik Roshan and Sonam Kapoor earlier this month to further accelerate its marketing campaign in South Asia Region. OPPO has entered into a 3-year partnership with FC Barcelonaand recently announced its Official Global Partnership with International Cricket Council (ICC) for the mobile phone category for four years starting 2016.
