After a number of reports stating the launch of Spotify in India, Spotify app is finally available in India. For those who aren’t familiar with Spotify, it is a music streaming service which is very popular in the US and the western world. Spotify in India is now for Android available on Google Play Store. and on App Store for iOS devices

The company hasn’t officially announced anything about the start of the music streaming service in India, one can just download the app from the above link and start listening to your favorite music. You can just visit this page and log-in to your existing account and change your country to India, wait for a few minutes and then choose the plan and subscribe to the service. As the site is not yet officially available in India, users won’t be able to sign-up unless you make use of VPN. Here is the price list of Spotify service in India.

Spotify will be available for INR 119 after a 30-day free trial or you will have to pay INR 129 for a month of premium. Also, if you are a student, you can upload your college docs and get up to 50% off on the premium subscription. Further, when you pay for a year upfront (INR 1,189) you will end up paying just 10 months and gaining subscription basically free for 2 months.
