LG UltraGear 27GN950

LG has announced the UltraGear 27GN950 gaming monitor in India with a 4K IPS panel, a response time of 1ms and more. This gaming monitor was launched globally some time back and has now made its way to India. The company claims that the UltraGear 27GN950 is the first gaming monitor with a 4K IPS panel that has a 1ms response time.

LG UltraGear 27GN950 Specifications

The LG UltraGear 27GN950 features a 27-inch display with a 4K (3,840×2,160 pixels) nano IPS display that has a 144Hz refresh rate, 1ms (GTG) response time, and 16:9 aspect ratio, 1000:1 contrast ratio. The brightness maxes out at 400 nits and the display covers over 98 per cent of the DCI-P3 colour gamut. It also comes with a 144Hz refresh rate and 10-bit colour depth at full resolution.

This new gaming monitor from LG has been certified for DisplayHDR 600 and HDR10, comes with AMD FreeSync, Nvidia G-Sync compatibility and more. Other features include Dynamic Action Sync, Smart Energy Saving, Flicker Safe, and Black Stabiliser.

For ports and connectivity, there’s two HDMI ports, a DisplayPort, a USB downstream and an upstream port, as well as a headphone out port. Additionally, the monitor is wall mountable and the stand allows for tilt, height, and pivot adjustments.

The LG UltraGear 27GN950 gaming monitor has been priced at Rs.59,990 in India.

Commenting on the launch, Hak Hyun Kim, Director- Home Entertainment, LG Electronics said, “Despite the widespread economic disruption caused by the coronavirus pandemic, the global video games and esports industry is thriving. With the onset of innovative technologies in gaming such as AR, VR, gamers today look for a totally immersive gaming experience that “takes them away from reality”.
