As reported earlier, Oppo has announced a new smartphone under its new sub-brand, Realme. The new smartphone launched under Realme is Realme 1. Oppo had announced a strategic association with Amazon India for the exclusive launch of its first product. The new Realme 1 will be available on Amazon starting at INR 8,990.

The Relme 1 flaunts a 6-inch (2160 x 1080 pixels) 18:9 Full HD+ 2.5D IPS display, it is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P60 processor clocked at 2Ghz and Mali-G72 MP3 GPU. Tne device comes with 3/4/6GB RAM and 32/64/128GB internal storage respectively and also the storage is expandable up to 128GB with a microSD card. The device is running on ColorOS 5.0 based on Android 8.1 NouOreo and is packed with 3410mAh battery with AI battery management that learns from the users’ usage habits and shuts down the background app, to lower the power consumption. In the camera department, the Relme 1 is equipped with a 13MP rear camera with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture, and uses the A.I. Beauty Recognition Technology that effortlessly helps you be at your best in photos. The camera in bokeh mode is powered by 8 million AI beauty solutions, it captures real facial expression while the background remains vibrant. The device is sporting an 8MP front-facing camera, f/2.2 aperture. The device lacks a fingerprint scanner but comes with face unlock feature that promises to unlock the phone in just 01.s, as per the company. This feature is powered by AI recognition.

Pricing and availability

The Realme 1 with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage is priced at INR 8,990, the 6GB+128GB is priced at INR 13,990 and both the variant are available from 25th May on Amazon. The 4GB+64GB variant will be available for INR 10,990 and will be later in June.
