Lenovo India to launch the much awaited Vibe Shot on 22nd September

The Lenovo Vibe Shot was first showcased at MWC earlier this year and then the company held a photography workshop in different cities in India last month.

Earlier today we received this invite from Lenovo confirming that device will be launched on 22nd September.

The launch will happen live on YouTube. So you can either watch it here in this post or on YouTube by clicking on the video window below.

Lenovo Vibe Shot has great specs, starting with a 5-inch full HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset. It come with an in-built storage of 32GB which is expandable up to 128GB. The device runs Android Lollipop out-of-the-box.

At the announcement in MWC, Lenovo had a very clear message that Vibe Shot is a Camera Smartphone and hence the 16-megapixel rear camera with photo optimization features for both beginners and pro photographers. Just like a point-n-shoot camera the device has a dedicated shutter button on the bottom right edge. Having a dedicated shutter button not only makes it faster and easier to launch the camera but also helps in keeping the hand steady when capturing photos or videos. Next to the shutter button, there is a Smart to Pro modes switch. Smart mode is basically auto mode for the everyday users, while the Pro mode give users more control over white balance, exposure etc.

The Vibe Shot camera smartphone is designed in such a way that it looks like a camera when held horizontally. The device has a metal strip on the back that has the camera module and the tricolor flash strip next to it.

Keeping the ‘Selfie’ audience in mind, Lenovo Vibe Shot has a 8-megapixel camera for selfies.

On the Connectivity front, the Lenovo Vibe Shot has dual-SIM functionality, 3G support, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. It will be available in red and grey color options.
