Uber Airport Service

Using Uber at the airport? Here’s what you need to know

  • Scheduled Rides: This feature enables you to book a ride up to 30 days in advance with just a few taps on your app. This helps ensure that your Uber will be there when it’s time to head out to the airport – especially if it’s the first flight out of town.

Here’s How it Works?

  1. Open the Uber app and tap the calendar icon in the “where to” box.
  2. Set your pickup date and time and enter your pickup and drop-off locations
  3. Select the ride you want to take (i.e., uberGo) and see the estimated fare; Tap “schedule.”
  4. We’ll send you reminders both 24 hours and 30 minutes in advance of your pickup. You’ll be notified once your ride is on the way, as well as what the fare will be. You can cancel up to 5 minutes after your ride is on the way.
  • In-app experience: Our new rider app has built-in prompt to provide instructions for your pickup (depending on the local airport rules and requirements). This might be a pre-designated pick-up area and/, or for larger airports, the app enables riders to provide specific pick up instructions –  like terminal and door number –  to their driver. This feature eliminates the additional time and energy spent in finding your ride.
  • On-ground experience: We also have partnerships with airports like Bangalore International Airport (BIAL) (also known as Kempegowda International Airport) and Mumbai International Airport – GVK, to provide riders with experienced staff on-ground to help riders with booking a ride or navigating to our pick up zones.

How Airport Picks Ups Work?

  1. Open the app to request your ride once you are ready to step outside, and enter your destination.
  2. Choose your ride option from the slider, then tap “request.” If you have multiple bags or are travelling with a group, you may want to request an uberXL (if available).
  3. Select your terminal and/or door number. The app will also give you more details on where to meet your driver (i.e., arrivals, departures, pick up area, etc.)
  4. Depending on the local airport rules and requirements, the Uber app will provide instructions for your pickup. This might be a designated ridesharing area, or to the departures level. And for larger airports, the app enables riders to provide specific pick up instructions – like terminal and door number –  to their driver. This feature helps to maximise riders’ and drivers’ time and enable a more efficient experience.
  • High Reliability: We are able to provide higher reliability because we are constantly working with our driver partners to improve expected time of arrivals (ETAs). Our latest driver app update includes the technology to inform drivers about their wait time before they get their next ride, so he is ready when it is time to pick up the rider
  • Affordable rides: We are one of the most affordable option transportation options at the airports.
  • Multiple Vehicle Options: We not only have our most popular uberGO hatchbacks available but also have our uberX Sedans for more boot space and a premium experience. Travelling with a group and have large suitcases? No worries, try an uberXL with capacity up to 6 people and more room to fit all your luggage.
