Google has launched its latest monthly Android distribution chart for the month of April. Android Nougat is now running on 4.9% of the smartphones compared to 2.8% of March Distribution chart. Nougat 7.0 is now running on 4.5% of android devices and 0.4% on Nougat 7.1.

Android 2.3 Gingerbread and Android 4.0.X Ice Cream Sandwich have almost reached their end of the life cycle as they are running on mere 0.9% of the smartphones each.

Android Jellybean(4.1.x,4.12.x and 4.3) is down to 10.1% from 10.6% in March, Android Kitkat 4.4 is now running on 20% of smartphones. Android 5.0 and 5.1 Lollipop is running on 42% of the devices, Marshmallow has seen a minor gain with 31.2% of Android smartphones running on the version Also, Lollipop is now having the most number of users.

Android Nougat is now getting into the track with almost 5% of the devices around the globe running on it. We hope more and more smartphones to get the latest version soon.
