Apple has updated its Maps app and now it would display COVID-19 travel guidance worldwide for some more helpful information. With this new update, Apple has decided to give special attention for the travelers. So they have brought a new feature that would display health measures information for airports on iPhone, iPad, and Mac too.
This will only be shown when someone searches for a particular airport, and then it would display the COVID-19 health measure information. This can be done in two ways, either through a link to the airport’s own COVID-19 advisory page, or it would directly display it on the in-app location card itself.
Apple has actually partnered with the Airports Council International to provide details on COVID-19 safety guidelines of the airports. There are over 300 airports worldwide in which Apple Maps would be showing the information. Now for the type of information that would be provided includes requirements around COVID-19 testing, mask usage, screening procedures, and any quarantine measures in effect.
A photo has been mentioned below that gives a better overview of how this works and how it can be helpful for people who travel a lot-
As you can see in the photo, it gives a better overview of the regulations that would need to be followed and is very helpful. If you’re going to travel somewhere, then you can use this feature as you would get a better idea.
