Nokia launches the all metallic Lumia 925
As we had informed you about the big announcement from Nokia, it's here. Nokia just announced the Lumia 925 'More than your eyes can see' maybe they mean you need Google Glass for it ;)
Jokes apart, Lumia 925, gets the same PureView camera technology that was earlier seen in the Lumia 920 but in a much thinner frame. The Lumia 925 is also the first device in the series to ditch an all polycarbonate plastic body for a metallic frame that comes with a polycarbonate plastic back. Though we wished it had the Xenon flash like in the recently announced Lumia 928, instead it comes with a dual-LED flash like the Lumia 920.
It still sport a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor clocked at 1.5GHz, 1GB of RAM, a 8.7-megapixel PureView camera with OIS, an 4.5-inch AMOLED Clear Black Display and 16GB of internal storage. In order to maintain the slimness, the Lumia 925 ditches built-in wireless charging and comes with optional wireless charging covers. The Lumia 925 will be available in white, black and grey colors while the wireless charging covers will be available in white, black, red and yellow.
Apart from the Lumia 925 launch Nokia introduced the Smart Camera mode that clicks ten images at once and edit the pictures with options like Best Shot, Action Shot, and Motion Focus. The smart camera will be passed on to all Lumia devices via the Amber Update.
The Nokia Lumia 925 is expected to start selling in June first in UK, Germany, Italy and Spain with Vodafone and other operator and retail partners; and in China with China Mobile and China Unicom, followed by the US with T-Mobile. It will be priced at around 469 EUR.

The design is quite clearly stunning, and in a first for the Lumia range, features metal. The metal frame on the Lumia 925 not only draws attention to the phone’s slim-line good looks, but also lends robustness and functions as an antenna. The polycarbonate body and metal frame are fused together to create a perfect whole.

As well as updated software, the camera on the Lumia 925 also comes with the most advanced lens technology. Together, the improvements deliver clearer and sharper pictures and video. And allow you to capture the best pictures in the dark. Even better, the imaging software improvements will be made available to existing compatible Windows Phone 8 Lumia smartphones in an update called Nokia Lumia Amber, which will be rolling out this summer.
Bright spark
The Nokia Lumia 925 also boasts a new 4.5-inch AMOLED display which offers superior brightness and sunlight performance making it easy to see the content even on the sunniest summer day. Google Cloud integrates and now offers 15GB
Google's capacity to store your files will jump by a factor of three, the company said Monday, rising from 5GB to 15GB shared across Google+, Drive, and Gmail.
The new amount of storage space will give people who use Google services the most generous storage capacity of any player in the free online-storage game. A quick look at competitors shows that Dropbox currently starts free subscribers at 2GB, Microsoft SkyDrive users get 7GB, and Apple iCloud, Amazon Cloud Storage, and SugarSync offer 5GB for free. The announcement follows a Google Drive update from last week that allows you to save files from the Web directly to Drive.
Life surely gets a bit easier when your Google products work well together—whether that’s inserting a Drive file into an email or sharing a photo from Drive on Google+. As this experience becomes more seamless, separate storage doesn’t make as much sense anymore. So instead of having 10 GB for Gmail and another 5 GB for Drive and Google+ Photos, you’ll now get 15 GB of unified storage for free to use as you like between Drive, Gmail, and Google+ Photos.
With this new combined storage space, you won’t have to worry about how much you’re storing and where. For example, maybe you’re a heavy Gmail user but light on photos, or perhaps you were bumping up against your Drive storage limit but were only using 2 GB in Gmail. Now it doesn’t matter, because you can use your storage the way you want.
We’ll also be making updates to the Google Drive storage page, so you can better understand how you’re using storage space. Simply hover over the pie chart to see a breakdown of your storage use across Drive, Gmail, and Google+ Photos. And if you need more storage, this is your place to upgrade, with plans starting at $4.99/month for 100 GB.
